Wehave finally finished with our last major hurdle of activities on April 19 which was our Saturday Sale. It again was an outstanding success.Wehad a beautiful day and we netted $2,336.70 for our efforts. Many thanks to all who brought us their clothing and household goods instead of giving them to some other organization. It just goes to show that someone’s trash is someone else’s treasure. We will now share the leftovers with the Cancer Federation, Response to Love, Catholic Charities, etc. in order to start afresh.

We also have to thank the Boy Scouts of Troop 223 who brought down all the boxes of things from the second floor of the convent. They have assisted us in previous years and their help is invaluable.

The week-end of April 5th, we received some food products from Troop 618 who meet at South Line Fire Co. and also from Curves for Women on Rossler St. and it did much to enhance our bare shelves. Many thanks to both those organizations. We also received monetary donations from the Ladies Auxiliary of Doyle 1 and from a former client who is now on her feet and is appreciative of the help we gave her when she was having a tough time. God really sends us help when we most need it.

God Bless You All!!! And thank you for your support.

We will now take a breather before we start planning for the next holiday season.Wewill close on Saturdays for the months of July and August and resume our full schedule in September.

Our supply of paper in plastic bags is dwindling. Any help in that area would be greatly appreciated.

Please do not hesitate to refer families or individuals to us. The work situation in our area does not seem to be getting better and surely, there are people who could use
some help until they are back on their feet again.

If you have a morning available we could use your help. The need for volunteers is always present. If you can help, call 668-8190 or 895-6423.

Keep us in your prayers.
